The Frisco Heritage Museum is undergoing essential maintenance that began October 27, 2025, focusing on HVAC system repairs.

During this period, the museum will be closed to the public, with plans to reopen in early 2026, featuring refreshed exhibits and events.

Despite the temporary closure, the adjacent Frisco Heritage Center will continue to offer a variety of free, family-friendly activities throughout the holiday season.

Beginning November 4 and running through December 27, the Heritage Center will host the "Holidays at Heritage" event series.

Visitors can enjoy guided tours of the historic village and homes, available Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with tours departing hourly.

These tours provide an immersive experience into Frisco's rich history and holiday traditions.

In addition to the tours, the Heritage Center will offer a range of holiday-themed activities.

Guests can participate in Christmas arts and crafts, ornament making, and writing letters to Santa.

A highlight of the season is the annual "Walnut's Wassail Walk" on December 18, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

This festive event features live music, local arts groups, holiday-themed activities, free treats, hot wassail and more.

Santa and Mrs. Claus are also expected to make a special appearance, adding to the holiday cheer.

Located in downtown Frisco, the Heritage Center serves as a cultural hub where residents and visitors can explore the city's evolution from a small railway stop to a dynamic North Texas community.

The center features historic buildings, a steam locomotive, a wooden caboose, and other artifacts that tell the story of Frisco's past.

According to city officials, the center's mission is to "help Frisco residents and visitors find well-being by connecting them to Frisco's past, present, and future."

Once renovations are complete, the Frisco Heritage Museum will reopen in 2026 with new exhibits and events designed to enhance the visitor experience.

Until then, locals can still celebrate the holidays and enjoy the town's living history just steps away at the Heritage Center.
