Hill Lane Phase 2 Changes Traffic in Little Elm
One-way restrictions and shifted lanes affect drivers between French Settlement and Dickson Lane.

Phase 2 of the Hill Lane Expansion Project is changing how drivers move through part of Little Elm, particularly near French Settlement and Dickson Lane.
The latest traffic pattern began Sept. 17 and shifts southbound vehicles into the opposite lane along that stretch.
Northbound traffic is not permitted on Hill Lane between Dickson Lane and French Settlement during this phase.
That restriction matters beyond Hill Lane because construction activity can affect familiar approaches near Oak Grove Parkway and Eldorado Parkway.
Drivers should expect temporary controls to evolve as crews advance through the multiphase project.
A route that worked last week may not be the quickest choice on the next trip.
The Town is asking motorists to follow posted signs, watch for workers and equipment, and allow extra time through the area.
Families handling school drop-offs, service calls or regular commutes may want to check the route before leaving, especially during higher-traffic periods.
Slowing down is more than a courtesy here; it protects crews and reduces the chance of sudden lane changes around the work zone.
The expansion is intended to improve local transportation infrastructure, but the construction period will continue to require patience and flexible travel plans.
Little Elm officials say they will post updates when the construction schedule or traffic configuration changes. |
