Wayback Drive-In Brings Outdoor Movie Nights to McKinney
A three-night grand opening pairs classic films with games, mini golf and a historic barn

Wayback Drive-In Opens a New Movie Night in McKinney
McKinney’s newest night-out option arrives this weekend with outdoor movies, vintage drive-in charm and room to linger before the credits roll.
Three opening-weekend films
The grand-opening weekend runs Friday through Sunday, November 6–8, at Wayback Drive-In, 3964 County Road 168 in north McKinney.
Each movie begins at 6:30 p.m.: The Sandlot on Friday, Top Gun on Saturday and Toy Story on Sunday.
Tickets and current availability are posted through the venue’s official showtime page, so guests should check before driving out.
More than a movie screen
The four-acre property adds a playful, social side to movie night with yard games including cornhole, tetherball, ping-pong, foosball and nine-square.
An 18-hole mini-golf course is available for an additional $6, and the historic barn houses food and drinks ranging from popcorn and candy to meal options and adult beverages.
The venue recommends checking its current hours and weather updates before visiting; heavy rain, thunderstorms or prolonged cold can affect operations.
Plan a relaxed evening
The concept is designed for families, friends and date nights, with space to settle into a lawn chair or car-bed setup under the open sky.
